Join Artist Elizabeth Goodwill in this fun and interactive workshop on how to weave on a cardboard loom. Patrons will come away with their own unique creation of a bookmark, a mug rug, or a small tapestry.

Suminigashi is a Japanese printmaking techniques that dates back to the 12th century, and the literal translation is “Floating Ink.” The printmaking techniques will be demonstrated at the beginning of the workshop.

Creative movement provides a tangible way for children to experience events in stories. It allows them to step into characters' shoes and try on their superpowers and actions. What a wonderful way to engage young learners in books!

Let's work together with Artist, Jessica McHugh, using watercolors, Sharpies®, and collaged images to create a piece of a community mural. All of the pieces come together to create a giant heart.

Paint the delicate petals of poppy flowers with watercolor paint. Patrons will learn how to layer the translucent paint. They'll work on two paintings concurrently to allow time for the layers to dry. 

Mini looms will be used to weave colorful rows of various yarns and fabrics. Library registrants, who have a variety of skill levels, are all welcome to come and weave on the handheld looms to create a mini colorful wall hanging.

Stations will be set up for colorful and imaginative printing techniques involving gel plates, foam plates, and marbling.
