March 11 - Performance: Gail Berenson, piano, Jeff Sebeika, flute: The Art and Joys of Collaborative Performance
Collaborative performing is one of the most rewarding types of music making. The inspiration and spontaneity of the performance is so dependent upon the interaction of the players, whether one plays duets at the piano or performs with other instrumentalists and vocalists. A greater and deeper musical experience results from the sum of their individual ideas. Today a pianist and a flutist will be sharing their special approaches used in preparing this program of wide-ranging styles.
