January 14 & 21 – Performance with narrative: A Year In the Life of Schubert, Joy McIntyre and Dr. Joseph Holt
The year 1828--the last in Franz Schubert's short life-- was full of sorrow with the death of Beethoven the year before, and was over-shadowed by his own deepening health concerns. Yet, despite all this, Schubert composed some of the most magnificent music of his lifetime. In this two-part series, Joy McIntyre and Joseph Holt will take you on a journey through Schubert's glorious final year, with narrative and musical performances.
