Join Fun To Be Fit Kids with Ms. Adrianne! This is a music and movement program for children (ages 0 - 6) and their caregivers to attend together.

Drop in to enjoy a special uninterrupted playtime with your child in our FREE Partners in Play® (PIP) groups. Meet our friendly Parenting Educators and discover how play and learning go hand-in-hand.

Use our Make-Do Tool Kits to create your own mini-golf course hole with cardboard.  Work individually or with your family or friends.  The holes will be setup around the library to create a course that all library families will be invite

Come and socialize with fellow knitting, crocheting and sewing enthusiasts! All levels welcome. Bring your current project to work on.

Join us online for Cooking with Miss Dina! Join Nutrition Educator, Dina Sizemore, as she introduces the children to new foods. The class will learn how to prepare and make a variety of healthy recipes.

Come to the Children's Dept. for drop-in arts and crafts for elementary-aged children. Sessions are offered at 1, 2, & 3 p.m. with 24 participants per session. Masks are recommended. 

Stumped by technology? Your technology questions can be answered through a live, virtual appointment. 

Bring your projects, patterns, and questions to Elsie Quirk Library and join the Quirky Knitters for an afternoon of knitting and crochet.  All skill levels welcome.  Registration is not required, so come on in to knit and chat!

Teens and Tweens!!!!

Celebrate the ADA Anniversary with us! 

Join other tweens and teens for this creative craft program hosted by Judith Levine. Attendees will create steampunk sculptures. This program is part of the Artist in the Libraries Series. Advance registration is required due to limited space.

Watch a movie on the big screen! We'll watch a different movie every week.

July focuses on family friendly films. In August, we will resume our movies for adults.

Tap into your imagination to make fantastical objects. In this program you can make stunning mermaid shell necklaces and fascinating dragon eye magnets using various materials. Online registration is required. 

Go on a hunt, test your knowledge and skill, and listen to true bizarre tales, told by those who experienced them.  Winners will get a prize! 

Watch your Sarasota County Library favorites share a storytime designed with your little one's learning needs in mind! This alphabet storytime series can be viewed on-demand whenever you'd like. 

Work at the library or take a kit home. Recommended for ages 8 and up. Supplies available on a first come, first served basis.

Join us to watch Disney's Treasure Planet! The movie will begin at 2:30 p.m. When you arrive, head to the Youth Department, where Miss Michele will take you to the movie.

This program is geared for ages 3 to 9. 

Join us at the Shannon Staub Library for a monthly Anime Club just for teens! Watch anime, eat snacks, and learn something about Japanese culture or fandom.

Enjoy making art with a variety of materials. Supplies and space are available on a first-come, first -served basis. A special project will be featured each week.
