Program Description
Join us for Color Our World, a hands-on mixed media and collaging workshop at the Sarasota Library that explores the mesmerizing art of cyanotypes, an alternative photographic process. Using found objects from nature and repurposed materials, students will create striking blue-toned prints through light exposure.
Once the initial images are developed, students will elevate their artwork with embroidery, mark-making, and other mixed media techniques, transforming their cyanotypes into layered, one-of-a-kind pieces. This immersive, indoor/outdoor workshop encourages creativity, experimentation, and sustainable art-making.
Dress for the mess! Some materials may stain, so please wear appropriate clothing.
We will be outside for part of the program, so dress light!
