For ages 2-5. Join us for story time filled with a variety of early literacy activities that include music, stories, movement, crafts and school readiness. 

For infants to five years, attending with caregiver. The storytime includes simple stories, nursery rhymes, songs, fingerplays, and crafts. Space is limited. Free tickets are available at the youth desk beginning at 10 a.m.

Play Mah Jongg in the rotunda with other experienced players in the Rotunda and make new friends! Please bring your own NMJL card with your name on it. You must be experienced enough to complete four games per hour to participate.

Bring your projects, patterns, and questions to Elsie Quirk Library and join the Quirky Knitters for an afternoon of knitting and crochet.  All skill levels welcome.  Registration is not required, so come on in to knit and chat!

Learn to create a simple 3D luggage tag using Tinkercad, a free program that is great for beginners. Staff will print your design on the library's 3D printer, and you may pick it up the following week.

This Creation Station craft invites you to explore the wonderful world of machine embroidery!

Teens in grades 6 through 12 are welcome to hang out, play games, and more.

LAST Stop is a drop-in program designed for teens in 6th through 12th grade to participate in fun activities, talk with friends, have snacks, and play games.

Try to design and build a hurricane proof house out of Play-Doh, construction paper, a tin tray, popsicle sticks, and tape. Once finished, test your creation against the might of our hurricane (a fan). 

Join other teens at our monthly Teen Advisory Board Meeting. The Board will discuss topics related to teen library services, teen programs and the teen collections. Attendees will receive community service credit for their time at the meeting.

Learn to make a basic handmade book using a Japanese bookbinding method and handmade marbled paper.
