Galapagos, the “Enchanted Isles,” located about 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador, are incredibly significant in scientific research. The Galapagos Islands are uniquely located on both sides of the equator in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. The Galapagos Islands are famous for the diverse plant and animal life found both on land and in the surrounding seas. Follow Charles Darwin’s footsteps by exploring the same islands and sites he visited in 1835. With more than 400 species of fish, some of the most unique birds on the planet, and an iconic collection of other native and endemic Galapagos wildlife, visiting the islands can feel like you’re literally stepping into a National Geographic-style documentary. Traveler Jane Mahler takes us along on her journey through this magnificent place.
This event is for ages 18 and up. First come, first seated.
