February 8 – Musical performance: Yiheng Yang , piano – early music, Sylvia Eckes, host
Yiheng’s appearances include the Boston Early Music Festival, New York Philharmonic Ensembles Series at Merkin Hall,
and many others. Her recordings with artists such as Grammy award-winning tenor, Karim Sulayman, and cellist Kate
Bennett Wadsworth have elicited high critical acclaim. She is on the faculty at The Juilliard School Preparatory and
College Divisions, and director of The Academy for Fortepiano Performance in Hunter, NY

February 15 — Musical performance: Dean Shostak, glass harmonica player
Dean has dedicated his career to the revival of Benjamin Franklin’s glass harmonica. He has toured the country
appearing in concert halls, universities, music festivals and schools. He was on the Rutgers University Mason Gross
Music School teaching faculty for several years teaching glass harmonica. He has appeared on many national
television programs, but his favorite was appearing as the final musical guest on Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood.

March 1 – Lecture: Ernani—A success by any other name…, Joy McIntyre

March 8 – Musical performance: J. Warren Mitchell, tenor, Joe Holt, piano
J. Warren was a 2012 Regional winner of Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, a 2013
voice fellow at Music Academy of the West, and a 2-time winner of Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg
International Opera Competition. Dr. Joseph Holt enjoys a wide-ranging musical career as
conductor, pianist, chamber music performer, arts administrator, educator and arranger.

March 29 – Musical Performance: Duo Beaux Arts
International competition winning ensemble Duo Beaux Arts was formed in 2008 by renowned husband and
wife concert pianists Dr. Catherine Lan and Steinway Artist Tao Lin. The Duo presents over 100 concerts each
year domestically and internationally.
