Join Nutrition Educator, Dina Sizemore, as she introduces the children to new foods and a healthy diet with stories, activities, and songs. This program will have a virtual view of the Gulf Gate Children's Garden so that the children can watch the herbs and vegetables go from seed to ripe fruit that will be harvested.
This month's theme is:
Fun with Fruits and Vegetables
Most children do not consume the recommended amounts of fruits and vegetables. To get the optimal health benefits from fruits and vegetables, it is important to consume a variety of foods from these food groups. This lesson teaches children the foods that belong in the Fruit Group and Vegetable Group, as well as the importance of eating a variety of different foods from each of these food groups
This program is recommended for ages 2 to 6.
This virtual program will be hosted in Zoom.
