Program Description
Details
As part of our Artists in the Libraries series, artist Barbara Gerdeman will teach us how to create structural mobiles from "raindrops" of old book pages.
We will begin by cutting strips of old book pages and then embellishing them with acrylic paint, colored pencils, and/or Sharpie markers. After that we will glue them together to make each single strip into a raindrop shape. Next we will take all the pieces and glue them together to create a cascade of book page raindrops that becomes a sculptural mobile. The top will be reinforced with a piece of cardboard that has a cord to use for hanging.
Space is limited, so registration is required.
