Calling all tween and teen kitchen curious kids, up to age 17! We are excited to offer a family nutrition program from the University of Florida. This program contains a curriculum created to help kids develop a love of cooking!

If you're like most Americans, when someone asks you to name a "southern" state, chances are good that places like Mississippi, Georgia, or Alabama will come to mind.

Kodu Game Lab is a 3D game development environment that is designed to teach kids basic programming principles.

Teens will have the opportunity to make a variety of items during the summer ranging from woodcrafts to 3D string art to resin projects. Each week will feature a different project as listed below.

Are you the best at a video game or board game? Could you be better than a librarian? Find out by challenging our staff — international grand world supreme champions in their chosen games — at Overcooked, Mario Kart, and Battleship.

Meet other coders and work on your coding project. Share with others and troubleshoot as a team. Led by Levi Szantosi whose top picks are Python, Scratch, and Unreal Engine.

Learn about the history of sword fighting during the Renaissance period from Steel Ring Academy. They'll give a demonstration of techniques taken from historical manuscripts, and share how this art has been revived into a martial sport.

Learn to create a simple 3D design using Tinkercad, a free program that is great for beginners. Staff will print your design on the library's 3D printer, and you may pick it up the following week. Create your free account before coming to class.

For young chefs wanting to learn the basics, or are excited to try new recipes!

Join us as we learn to make a homemade dessert with just a microwave! For this program we will be learning how to make chocolate chip mug cookies.

If you like writing your own pieces or would like to branch out and grow your creativity, come join us for our Teen Writers Club! We will be meeting weekly on Mondays @ 4 p.m. Ages 11-18 welcome!
