Author John Dunn will provide a synopsis of his book, Drying Up, The Fresh Water Crisis in Florida (Florida Historical Society Stetson Kennedy Award for environmental reporting, 2019 Florida Book Awards Bronze Medal for Florida Nonfiction), and offers an overview of the state’s water quantity and quality problems along with solutions. Mr. Dunn has authored 16 non-fiction young adult books and edited a Civil War series for young readers. These books have been recognized by the New York Public Library and School Library Journal, among others. He is a retired veteran high school teacher of history, law-studies, sociology, and philosophy.
