Program Description
Baked into History is a hands-on history program designed especially for teens, combining local agriculture, gardening, and historic food traditions. Participants will explore how Sarasota’s history grew from its farms and gardens, then work together to bake a simple historic cookie recipe using small countertop toasters and basic mixing techniques. This program is interactive and sensory, encouraging curiosity, conversation, and creativity while learning about local history.
Because food preparation is involved, participants will be required to complete allergy and food-safety paperwork in advance, and registration is required. For ages 12-18.
