Writing a novel alone can be difficult, even for seasoned writers. North Port Library celebrates National Novel Writing Month by providing scheduled space in a studious environment (with free wifi and laptops you can borrow in-house), and three writing workshops throughout the month.
NaNoWriMo helps you track your progress, set milestones, connect with other writers in a vast community, and participate in events that are designed to make sure you finish your novel.

This week's presenter is Dr. John Pelot, creative writing professor with Florida Southwestern State College, who will talk about providing details, habits and elements to your writing.
