Program Description
Details
Rembrandt’s etchings, which J.P. Morgan collected, were created by adding a layer of wax to a metal plate, scratching lines into the wax, and then treating the plate with acid to create a textured surface that could be used to make ink prints of the drawing.
Join Judy Levine as she will teach you similar techniques in typical ink printmaking to those Rembrandt used in this Gilded Age print class. Explore the opulent designs of the turn of the 20th century and create your own multi-colored printmaking plate based on those designs. Print original paper and card sets to show off your metallic prints.
If you are unsure if you have successfully registered for this class please contact Lisa lriley@scgov.net or 941-861-1376.
