Alan Kitty gives four lectures on consecutive Tuesdays in October on different topics associated with Mark Twain. In this second lecture, we come to understand how Twain, originally known a a western journalist, became a household word as Alan traces the origins, travels and publications that made Twain famous.
Alan Kitty captured Mark Twain’s enormous spirit and wit with his live show which he performed during the new Venice Library's opening week last December. His research, programs and performances, which started in 1979, have made him one of the nation's leading authorities on Mark Twain's life, views and written works.
