Program Description

Join special presenter Kat Sjogren and learn about the art of Suminigashi!

Suminigashi is a Japanese printmaking technique that dates back to the 12th century. The literal translation is “Floating Ink”. The printmaking technique will be demonstrated at the beginning of the workshop. Using Suminigashi prints that have been made previously you will create numerous jewelry pieces. The prints are placed on bezel jewelry trays and covered with cabochon glass. There will be a variety of styles of jewelry pieces available to create your own necklaces, zipper pulls, and book marks.
