The NaNoWriMo organization was founded in 1999 to inspire writers to write, specifically 50,000 words during the month of November, dubbed National Novel Writing Month. Writers of all skill levels are invited to take part in the challenge to spend time writing, sharing tips and encouragement with fellow writers.  

Currently home to over 200 active writers, the SWFL region of NaNoWriMo  is more than ready to welcome new writers into the fold!
