AARP Tax Assistance

AARP is providing free tax preparation at the Shannon Staub Library again this year. The tax returns will be prepared by IRS-certified tax counselors.

The AARP Tax-Aide Tax Preparation Program will begin on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.  Tax preparation hours will be from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays, thru Tuesday, April 15--EXCEPT FOR FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 14.

This year taxes will be prepared on an appointment-only basis.

Appointments cannot be made by telephone.

Counselors will be available at the Library on the following January 2025 dates to make appointments and distribute intake booklets and any forms requiring taxpayer input:

Tuesday, January 21 from 1-4 p.m. and Friday, January 24 from 10:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

Appointments can also be made, in-person, starting Tuesday, February 4, and each Tuesday and Friday thereafter during tax preparation hours.


Membership in AARP is not required. It is requested that taxpayers bring photo ID, their Social Security card (or SSA 1099), and documentation to support their income and deductions.
