Purpose of Meeting
Teen STEM Club
Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) club, sponsored by the Venice Cadet Squadron, Civil Air Patrol (http://www.venicecap.org & http://facebook.venicecap.org), for teenagers aged 12-18.
The club will teach a specific class each week and also make the following STEM kits available for teenage visitors and cadets to explore.
The week's class topic:
Learning to perform to talk to airport traffic controllers and taxi around the airport within the flight simulator.
Available STEM Kits:
- Flight simulator
- R/C flight simulator
- Air Traffic Control simulator
- Robotic arm controlled by remote or by computer software
- Hydraulic (water) arm
- Raspberry Pi computers to control electronic projects and programming skills
- Model aircraft building
