Purpose of Meeting
Voters will have the option in November to change the way Sarasota County commissioners are elected.
The Sarasota Alliance for Fair Elections gathered the 15,096 signatures required to place a “single-member districts” county charter amendment on the ballot. That amendment would give voters the choice of restricting voting in each commission race to those who live within the district boundaries.
In favor: Kindra Muntz and Dan Lobeck
Opposed: Shannon Staub and Nora Patterson
This nonpartisan event is open to the public and free of charge. Morgan R. Bentley, Managing Partner, Bentley & Bruning P.A. will moderate.
