LAST Stop is a drop-in program designed for teens in 6th through 12th grade to participate in fun activities, talk with friends, have snacks, and play games.

If you like writing your own pieces or would like to grow your creativity, come join us for our Teen Writers Club!  Enhance your writing skills, participate in free-writing exercises and get feedback on written work.

Use 1 of 5 Brother sewing machines on Your Own Project. Must Know How to Sew.  

Machines Available on first come first serve basis.

Join us in the teen center to watch anime, discuss our favorite characters, and enjoy a small craft or art activity!

This is recommended for tweens and teens, ages 9-18.

Join us for the library's Monthly Game Night! Every first Tuesday of the month from 5-7 PM, we invite you to enjoy an evening of fun, friendly competition, and socializing.

Homeschool Meetup

Unwind and get fit with this beginner-friendly guided yoga class for teens and tweens! Join us for an hour-long lesson and learn basic yoga and breathing exercises that can be used in your everyday life. Registration required.

Writers unite! This club meets the first Wednesday of every month to give teens the opportunity to hone their creative writing skills.

Work on your own creations or build as a team. We provide the LEGO® bricks, you provide the imagination.

Bring your projects, patterns, and questions to Elsie Quirk Library and join the Quirky Knitters for an afternoon of knitting and crochet.  All skill levels welcome.  Registration is not required, so come on in to knit and chat!

Are you curious about our Creation Station? Join us for Open Lab, where library patrons can explore and experiment with a variety of tools and equipment such as Osmo technology, robots, button makers, and more.

Save a life! Come to donate blood with OneBlood. Their bus will be in the Selby Library parking lot.

Jam and learn in the Teen Center with your teen teacher, Anni Szantosi, and her numerous instruments! This club is for tween and teen music lovers who want to learn to play an instrument or find people who enjoy music. 

Meet other coders in the Teen Center and work on your coding project. Share with others and troubleshoot as a team. Led by Levi Szantosi whose top picks are Python, Scratch, and Unreal Engine.

Join Sarasota Extension Services Master Gardeners for questions pertaining to Florida-friendly gardening, composting, and identifying insects.

The Florida Department of Health in Sarasota County, Health in Motion staff will be on-site to provide no-cost health screenings and referrals for general health and wellness.
