The Sarasota Department of Health is working with your library to offer free and low-cost public health services. A registered nurse is available at all visits.
Renovations and expansion building works will be happening at Fruitville Library, which will require Fruitville Library to temporarily close on Dec. 18. The reimagined library is scheduled to reopen in July 2026.

Mango Languages is a self-paced language-learning system (web/app), offering more than 70 world languages, English language learning, and assorted specialty courses to meet specific subject matter interests.
Drawing from powerful first-hand accounts, Liz Coursen’s lecture, Eyewitness to Dachau, will reconstruct the camp’s history, delve into its daily realities, and examine its liberation and aftermath.
A representative from All Faiths Food Bank will be available to help with your SNAP application.
Appointments are preferred but not required.
Children are invited to read with certified pet therapy dogs. This program encourages conversation and develops reading and communication skills. The dogs love the attention and the kids love the interactions.
LAST Stop is a drop-in program designed for teens in 6th through 12th grade to participate in fun activities, talk with friends, have snacks, and play games.
