Partners in Play®
For mobile babies to 5 years old. Drop in to enjoy a special uninterrupted playtime with your child in our FREE Partners in Play® (PIP) groups. Meet our friendly Parenting Educators and discover how play and learning go hand-in-hand.
Join us at the Fruitville Library with your knit/crochet projects. All ages and skills are welcome. Supplies and knowledgeable members are on hand to help anyone interested in learning to knit or crochet.
Busy Little Hands Activity Hour
Preschoolers, kindergarteners, and their families can enjoy loosely structured play with a variety of rotating toys and activities in our Story Time Room.
Let's Pretend Day
Children ages 2-8 and their caregivers are invited for Wednesday morning free-play time, with an assortment of toys and props to inspire the young imagination! Drop-in anytime between 10:30am and 11:30am.
Pop-up: Longboat Key Summer Storytime
Drop by Bayfront Park Recreation Center for our Pop-up Summer Storytime. There will be stories, songs, and a craft for ages 0-5.

Summer Lunch Program
This summer lunch program is sponsored by the Sarasota County School District. Free lunches are available for anyone up to age 18 in the Juliano room on weekdays.

The Health in Motion Bus offers free and low-cost public health services. A registered nurse is available at all visits. Individuals who need follow-up medical care are referred to a primary health care provider. No appointment needed.

Teen Cooking (Tweens and Teens)
Calling all tween and teen kitchen curious kids, up to age 17! We are excited to offer a family nutrition program from the University of Florida. This program contains a curriculum created to help kids develop a love of cooking!
Join artist Judy Levine as she teaches jewelry design principles such as color, balance, weight and composition. Participants will use a variety of gemstones and beads to create an original necklace. Beginners welcome.
Quirky Crafters: Origami Treats
This month we're kicking off our Summer Learning programs by learning how to make delicious looking origami bites! Bring your creativity and hang out with us!
For tweens and teens.
Children are invited to read with certified pet therapy dogs. The program encourages conversation and develops reading and communication skills.
Youth Video Gaming
Join us in the Teen Center for Youth Video Gaming! Play together or compete on the Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Wii!
The Pop-Up vehicle will be at the Community Resource Fair with information about library resources, books and swag!
Join other teens this summer for popular card and board games. Attendees will have the ability to play a variety classic and modern games. Refreshments (pizza and drinks) will be provided by the Friends of the Gulf Gate Library.
Board Game Bonanza
Come join us for some fun and games! Challenge each other to see who can make the highest scoring word in Scrabble or practice your bluffing game with Sheriff of Nottingham.
Lego Club
Work on your own creations or build as a team. We provide the LEGOs, you provide the imagination.
