The Writer's Circle was created for writers of all types and genres. Whether you write Fiction, Poetry, Lyrics even Stand-Up Comedy; here, you will find a welcoming place via Zoom to share and if you wish to, discuss your work.
Socrates Café is a gathering where people from different backgrounds get together and exchange thoughtful ideas and experiences while embracing the central theme of Socratic teaching; the idea that we learn.
Teen Room
Teens in grades 6 through 12 are welcome to hang out, play games, and more.
Come hang out with your friends in the Teen Room at the Venice Public Library. When Blaise, the Teen Librarian, is in there will be crafts, video games, board games and more!
LAST Stop is a drop-in program designed for teens in 6th through 12th grade to participate in fun activities, talk with friends, have snacks, and play games. The program is open to any teen who agrees to follow the Teen Room Code of Conduct.
Wings of Fire Talkabout
If you're a Wings of Fire fan, this is the program for you! On Wednesday, September 14 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at Shannon Staub Public Library, you can test your knowledge of all the dragons across Pyrriah and the Distant Lands.
You never know what might happen on Wednesday afternoons here at Elsie Quirk! Each week will be a surprise activity - arts and crafts, movies, board games, or trips to the Creation Station. Tweens and Teens ages 9-18 are welcome.
Children are invited to read with certified pet therapy dogs. The program encourages conversation and develops reading and communication skills.
