Fun To Be Fit Kids is a music and movement program for children and their caregivers to attend together. Spend quality time singing, dancing, exercising, and having fun!
No registration is needed.
The chess club is an opportunity to play friendly games of chess in a low-stress environment. Patrons of all ages and levels are welcome to come, as help is given to those who need it!

Read with the Dogs
Children are invited to read with certified pet therapy dogs. This program encourages conversation and develops reading and communication skills. The dogs love the attention and the kids love the interactions.
Hang out in the teen room and play board games with other friendly teens and tweens. Games and tables will be available on a first come, first served basis.
Learn to knit or crochet! All ages and skill levels welcome! It is recommended to bring your own yarn and needles. Instructor-supplied yarns remain with the instructor weekly until piece is completed.
English for Families at Betty J. Johnson North Sarasota Library
English for Families is a series of classes designed for caregivers and their children ages 6-12. This series focuses on developing BASIC English vocabulary and literacy skills through fun and interactive storytelling.
