Suminigashi is a Japanese printmaking techniques that dates back to the 12th century. The literal translation is “floating ink.” Using demonstrated printmaking techniques, teens will create numerous jewelry pieces, such as necklaces, zipper pulls, and bookmarks, by placing prints on bezel jewelry trays and covering them with cabochon glass. Step-by-step print making directions will be shared should you decide to continue your Suminigashi journey.
