Join us for a fun, informative session of freestyle art. This session will kick off with a brief intro to Georges Seurat, the French post-Impressionistic who devised the painting techniques known as chromoluminarism and pointillism in the 1880s and 1890s. Use small, distinct dots of bright color applied in patterns to form an image, relying on the ability of the eye and mind of the viewer to blend the color spots into a fuller range of tones.
Convey your emotions, thoughts, or ideas on canvas, highlighting and accentuating them or dissolving them away through color. Imagine a way to minimize anxiety and defeat negative vibes. Get into a state of mindful flow and help us create a beautiful piece of art. Open to all levels of artistic ability.
Free supplies and seating are limited; register today! This might be messy, so please wear old clothes--we will provide plastic aprons.
