Illustrators Panel with John Herzog moderating, and including Katherine Blackmore, Oliver Dominguez, and Jenin Mohammed.

Katherine Blackmore’s professional career spans over twenty-five years of illustrating, animating, and teaching. Blackmore’s work has been featured in products for American Greetings, animated films for Disney, and several published picture books. She currently teaches kids in the Creative Core Art Program, which she founded in 2013. She lives in Orlando FL with her husband, Eric, and a tortoise named Walter.

Oliver Dominguez was born and raised in the South side of Miami, where he spent his time reading comics, watching cartoons and playing with action figures. He studied Illustration at Ringling College of Art + Design and spent two summers attending The Illustration Academy. Now his weeks are spent working as a Children's Book Artist, Professor at Ringling College and freelance. His love of historical figures has lead him to illustrate children's books called "Electrical Wizard: How Nikola Tesla Lit the World,” “Miracle Mud: Lena Blackburne and The Secret Mud that Changed Baseball” also “Nacho’s Nachos” and more.

John Herzog is an illustrator and educator. He has created work for Scholastic, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Little, Brown and Company, Highlights for Children, DreamWorks TV, and Hasbro. He also teaches illustration at Ringling College of Art and Design. John is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, where he received the 2018 SCBWI Magazine Merit Award. He lives in Florida with his family.

Jenin Mohammed was born and raised in Miramar, Florida. After graduating from UCF’s Character Animation program, Jenin worked tirelessly to break into storyboarding for TV until finally, a TV studio in Burbank offered her the position. Jenin officially broke into children’s publishing after winning the 2020 Summer Spectacular Illustration Grand Prize. A fan of humor, she draws the slice-of-life comic Knot Write Now. She is currently illustrating the HarperCollins picture book Song of the City, written by Dan Bernstrom.
