Have you wondered what it was like to be on the front lines during World War II? To see through the eyes of an eighteen-year old soldier the terrible conditions of the prisoners at the Dachau Concentration Camp?

Discover the whole story as the Gulf Gate Library welcomes WWII Veteran Arthur Sheirdan to the Living Library Program.

Arthur Sheridan was just eighteen years old when he joined the military and was sent overseas during World War II with the U.S. Army’s 20th Armored Division. He served throughout France, Belgium and Germany, and was among the soldiers who liberated the Dachau Concentration Camp. Now 94 years old, he lives in Sarasota and speaks about what he saw at Dachau and his wartime experiences in Europe.
