Holocaust Denial, which is a form of anti-semitism, is often disguised under the pretense of legitimate historical revisionism. However, whether in its crudest form or its  pseudo-historical disguise, Holocaust denial always accuses the Jews of having invented the Holocaust "myth" in order to to benefit financially and to advance their quest for "world domination."

In this lecture, we will examine Holocaust denial from its earliest manifestations and examine the motivation of the deniers. Film clips and PowerPoint presentation are included, and the encouragement of audience engagement with Q&A.

Andre Krauss is a published historian and researcher with a PhD in Social Psychology and a PhD in History of Art, as well as 40 years experience as a university lecturer and researcher.

The Butterflies of Hope and Remembrance is a Holocaust awareness and education program to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII and the liberation of the Nazi Concentration Camps. From January through April 2020, Sarasota Libraries will host exhibits and displays and provide programming as part of this initiative.
