History Series: Vicki Oldham Presents - "Newtown Alive: Courage. Dignity. Determination."
Join us for this program which will trace the history of Newtown, one of Sarasota’s oldest communities. Vicki Oldham and singer Brenda Watty will bring Newtown Alive for us today.
Vickie Oldham is President/CEO of the Sarasota African American Cultural Coalition, Inc. SAACC’s goal is to open an art center and history museum. The precursor to the historic preservation project is “Newtown Alive.”
