The History of Pinecraft – Sarasota’s Amish Community

Each year hundreds of Amish come to Pinecraft to enjoy the warm climate, the beaches, and the benefits of a close-knit community. What changes have come to the community, and what has stayed the same? The program will include a brief history of Amish and Mennonites and how Pinecraft became a popular destination for them since the 1930’s.

The presenter, JB Miller, grew up in Pinecraft and enjoys observing the community today, and researching the early years. A brief Q and A will follow the presentation.
