Program Description

This presentation will cover biology and FWC’s efforts to conserve Florida’s long-lived keystone species, the Gopher Tortoise.

Topics will include basic life history and facts about gopher tortoises, threats leading to their threatened status, regulations, and FWC’s conservation efforts through the Gopher Tortoise Management Plan and Permitting Guidelines.
