Join Special Agent Jay Stone for a discussion of key dates and events that helped shape the FBI as it exists today, with a look at types of investigations, jurisdictional issues and more. Agents will also answers questions about a day in the life of an FBI employee.

This program is offered as part of the 2019 One Book One Community initiative, to help explore themes from their selection "Killers of the Flower Moon".

 

Mr. Joseph (Jay) Stone is employed as a Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and is currently assigned to the Tampa Division, Sarasota Resident Agency.  Mr. Stone has over 29 years of combined experience as both a Special Agent and Supervisory Special Agent.  Prior to Mr. Stone’s assignment to Sarasota, Florida, he was assigned to FBI posts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and Annapolis, Maryland.  Mr. Stone has served as a supervisor in the Philadelphia and Baltimore Divisions as well as FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C.  His last assignment, prior to Sarasota, was a joint duty assignment with the National Security Agency located in Ft. Meade, Maryland.  Mr. Stone also served as the Senior Supervisory Resident Agent of both the Annapolis and Salisbury, Maryland resident agencies, supervising criminal investigations in 12 of the 23 counties of Maryland.
