Program Description
A powerful indigenous kingdom that dominated southwest Florida centuries before the Spanish arrived, the Calusa created a complex and sophisticated society based on fishing and hunting/gathering rather than agriculture. Join Charlotte County historian Dr. Jennifer Zoebelein for a presentation on this unique people and the important role archaeology played in uncovering their history.
