This is recommended for tweens and teens, ages 9-18.

Join us at Teen DIY Lab! 

Each month we will try out a new DIY project you can make and take home.

This month we will be using Kool-Aid to create a variety of fun lip balms and glosses.

Spring into style and DIY your own t-shirt design!

Use crafting supplies to draw your own wearable designs.

Work on your own creations or build as a team. We provide the LEGO® bricks, you provide the imagination.

A priceless Monet painting has recently gone missing from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. We have reason to believe it’s been nabbed by the new museum curator, Vincent Hahn. Use your wits to get the painting back undetected. 

Bring your projects, patterns, and questions to Elsie Quirk Library and join the Quirky Knitters for an afternoon of knitting and crochet.  All skill levels welcome.  Registration is not required, so come on in to knit and chat!

Children are invited to read with certified pet therapy dogs. The program encourages conversation and develops reading and communication skills.

This program is intended for children who can read independently

We provide the supplies, you bring the creativity! A variety of materials will be available for you to explore and create. Recommended for ages 4-12.

Explore your thoughts and stresses through the creative process to discover problem-solving skills and solutions. Relax with a guided visualization and complete 2-3 drawings followed by discussion. No art experience required or necessary!

Learn about gear ratio, sensors, pulleys, cranks, and programming as you learn how to build a space rover in this class presented by Snapology! Recommended for ages 7-12. Registration required.

Get ready for an epic showdown! Join us for our Teen Super Smash Bros.™ Tournament, where teens can showcase their gaming skills on the Nintendo Switch™.

Jam and learn in the Teen Center with your teen teacher, Anni Szantosi, and her numerous instruments! This club is for tween and teen music lovers who want to learn to play an instrument or find people who enjoy music. 

Drop in during this hour to draw your very own button badges at the library using our button maker! For ages 10-18.

Children are invited to read with certified pet therapy dogs from the Suncoast Humane Society Pet Therapy Team. This program encourages conversation and develops reading and communication skills.

If you like writing your own pieces or would like to grow your creativity, come join us for our Teen Writers Club!  Enhance your writing skills, participate in free-writing exercises and get feedback on written work.

Join us and learn how to sew an Easy Hanging Towel. All Materials will be provided. 

Registration Is Required. Must know how to sew.  Ages 13 and up.

Join us every other Tuesday in the Creation Station to show off your LEGO building talents.  Use the hour to freely build or choose one of our challenge cards for inspiration! Best for ages 5-12.

Spring is in the air and we are making tissue paper flowers! Great for decorating your space or gifting to friends and family.
