Learn about genealogy research through Ancestry, Heritage Quest, and other databases. Students need names, dates, and locations of people to be researched on the databases. Bring your own thumb drive for articles to be printed.

Baby Time: Rhyme and Sign!
Engage babies newborn to 18 months with movement to music, singing, rhymes and basic sign language to enhance social interaction and language development. Playtime follows.

Summer Breakspot Lunches for children and teens ages 0-18. Provided by Sarasota County Food and Nutrition Services.
Summer Lunch Program
Free lunches for anyone up to age 18 will be served in the youth program room on weekdays, June 3-Aug. 2 excluding July 4. Hot lunches are served on Monday through Thursday, and bagged lunches are served on Fridays.
The 1-3 pm genealogy session requires previous training from the introductory class at 10 am - 12 pm.
Family Movie Matinee
Enjoy popcorn and a movie on second and fourth Fridays during June and July.
The meeting room can be chilly, so a light jacket or sweater is recommended.

Mad Science Party!
Children/tweens (ages 5 - 12) will have fun, hands-on experience with Mad Science and their Airblast Party!

Artists in the Library for Teens: Percussion Storytelling
This interactive program uses ethnic percussion instruments from a variety of countries to create sound effects. Participants will explore sounds that relate to theme, tone, setting and characterization used in storytelling.
"Star Wars" Escape Room
Work together to figure out the clues in this "Star Wars" themed Escape Room. Registration is required and limited to 12 tweens and teens ages 9-18.
