Program Description

Details

Join world traveler Jane Mahler for the second part of her Australian adventure, covering Sydney, the Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rainforest, and Noosa Everglades. Sydney is a stunning and vibrant city built around one of the most beautiful bays in the world with the iconic Opera House, sparkling beaches and easy access to the heart of the city. Once a British colony of exiled convicts, Sydney has grown into Australia's most diverse and cosmopolitan city. The Daintree Rainforest is 180 million years old, holds 13 of the world's 19 primitive flowering plant species, and is one of the most complex tropical rainforest ecosystems in the world. The Noosa Everglades have some similarities to our Florida Everglades. The Great Barrier Reef contains the world's largest collection of coral reefs and is the only living thing on Earth that can be seen from space.
