Jane Mahler takes us on a second adventure in Africa with visits to two stunning wildlife reserves in Kenya: Lake Nakuru and Samburu Reserve.

Lake Nakuru is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most famous lake in Kenya. It is known for its flocks of flamingos and other bird species as well as eastern black rhinos, southern white rhinos and the Rothschild giraffe, which was not seen elsewhere. Due to rising waters caused by climate change, Lake Nakuru Reserve will not be on future tours.

Samburu Reserve is home to The Samburu Five, five rare and endemic animals to the Samburu ecosystem: the Gerenuk, the Reticulated giraffe, the Somali ostrich, the Grevy's zebra, and the East African oryx. Those animals and the Vulturine guineafowl made it a picture-taker's paradise.
