Édouard Manet VS Edgar Degas
Edouard Manet (1832-1883) was a pivotal figure in the French Impressionism Movement. He was a rebel who challenged the restrictive norms of artistic expression. He led a group of young, aspiring artists toward artistic freedom with care and compassion. His fremeny, Edgar Degas (1834-1917) was quite the opposite. Degas was a self-centered misogynist who rarely painted a beautiful woman, but he turned paper into magic and he made colors sing!
