Program Description

Details

NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador Linda McKenna will discuss the Perseverance's Journey to Mars, what to expect during its landing on February 18, what we will explore on Mars, and what we hope to learn from our robotic explorations.

The Perseverance launched from Kennedy Space Center in July 2020. Watch our on demand program about the launch and the mission.

"Landing on Mars is challenging. Only about 40 percent of the missions ever sent to Mars – by any space agency - have been successful. Perseverance is only the fifth rover to attempt landing on Mars." NASA's web page for the Perseverance Landing.
