Discover the “Secrets of the Underground Railroad!”

The Underground Railroad was a well-organized but secret plan that included a series of “safe houses” that led enslaved people in the south to freedom in the north and eventually into Canada.

“Follow the Drinking Gourd”

Discover how songs, quilts, and the stars were used to convey secret messages to those escaping slavery.

Program includes music, visuals, books, displays. 

*Participants can create their own secret message quilt square to take home.
