Program Description

Details

The Russian Avant-Garde was a large, influential group of artists who were heavily influenced by Modern Artistic innovations taking place in Paris. Analytic and Synthetic Cubism developed by Pablo Picasso and George Braque were transformed into Suprematism, Constructivism, Cubo-Futurism, Zaum, and Neo-primitivism. This lecture will introduce the most famous members of this group: Wassily Kandinsky, Kazimir Malevich, & Marc Chagall. Each artist had his own, unique voice.
