Picasso and the Allure of the South

Many of Picasso's most innovative periods of work took place in parts of Northern Spain,close to the French border or in Southern France near Spain. The exhibition at the Daliand the focus of this program, explore the artist's deep connection to this geographical zone. The exhibit looks at the rapports between Picasso's early and later presence in these places, the nature of the culture, and how it shaped his painting.
