Off the Page Literary Celebration
The Off the Page Literary Celebration, hosted by Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources, features bestselling authors, writing workshops, book signings, and more during the month of November. All Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources locations participate. Events are also held at partner locations like Ringling College of Art and Design, or other offsite locations.
Join us for a fun filled Family Day at Fruitville Library! We’ll have food trucks, story time, and a Creation Station craft for the whole family. The day's schedule includes:
10:15 a.m. - Story time
11 a.m. - Author illustrator Ben Clanton of the beloved Narwhal & Jelly series joins us for a program and book signing.
Ben Clanton is the New York Times bestselling and Eisner Award-winning creator of the Narwhal and Jelly series. He is also the co-creator of the Ploof series and "Papilio." Some of his other titles include "It Came in the Mail," "Mo's Mustache," and the Tater Tales books.
12 p.m. - Craft
And we'll have Big Blue Grilled Cheese and Kona Ice food trucks onsite from 12-2 p.m.! First 200 visitors eat free.
