In 2021, Author Victoria Christopher Murray teamed up with NYT Bestselling author Marie Benedict to co-author “The Personal Librarian”, the remarkable, little-known story of Belle da Costa Greene, J. P. Morgan's personal librarian—who became one of the most powerful women in New York despite the dangerous secret she kept in order to make her dreams come true. Come hear her talk about the book writing process, and what they discovered along the way.
Victoria Christopher Murray is the author of more than thirty novels and is the winner of nine African American Literary Awards for Fiction and female Author of the Year, and also a four-time NAACP Image Award Nominee for Outstanding Fiction for her social commentary novel, Stand Your Ground. A native of Queens, Victoria earned a B.A. in Communication Disorders from Hampton University and an MBA from New York University. Victoria lives in Washington, D.C.
