Program Description

Details

Estuaries are some of the most productive and diverse ecosystems on earth. Many important species of animals that we care for such as sea turtles, dolphins, manatees, fish, and others, depend on the estuaries, especially during the early years of their lives, and that is why estuaries have been referred to as "the nurseries of the ocean".

Sarasota Bay has a major role in providing safe haven for developing marine organisms. Join us to learn more about our own estuary, Sarasota Bay, some of the creatures that live there, and how you can help to protect our estuary.
