This summer, our NASA programs will focus on Tales of Tails in science.
Presenters: NASA Solar System Ambassadors Linda McKenna and Mark Brown
Why do kites have tails? Explore the history, culture and science of kite flying.
Activity: Participants will built their own kite!
Supplies: We will use the following supplies in the program:
- Plain printer/copy paper (white or colorful) - 2 sheets
- Markers/crayons (optional) - for decorating your kite
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Stapler
- Hole punch
- Sewing thread, light-weight twine, or string
This program is a hybrid event! Our presenters will be virtual on Zoom, and attendees are welcome in person so we can watch together on the big screen!
