Program Description

Details

Help us celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first human on the moon with some FUN and exciting “Space” science.  We will explore rocket aerodynamics, thrust, motion and trajectory to see what it took to get to the moon, and investigate the moon and its phases & eclipses.  With the help of volunteers we will head out into the solar system to survey our planets, and as we travel farther out discover how to create artificial gravity as our voyages get longer - WAY longer!  As we investigate the immense scale of interstellar and galactic distances - a universe of adventures and stories will await us…. Please note that strollers will not be permitted in the meeting room because of safety/space concerns. Also, seating is limited, and tickets will be handed out on a first come, first served basis at the Youth Dept. desk one hour before the event.
